Four adventuresome Canadians have taken up Goodyear-Canada's offer to legally change their surnames from Dunlop to Dunlop-Tire. The four split the ``Tired of Your Name Challenge'' prize of $25,000 (Canadian), each pocketing a share of $6,500.
The ex-Peter Dunlop-who ironically works for a company called Action Tire-said ``money was not the motivating factor.'' It was, added the Central Ontario resident, ``a real fun thing to do.''
Mr. Dunlop-Tire's new ``relatives'' are Traci Dunlop-Tire of Calgary, Jason Dunlop-Tire of Winnepeg and Bill Dunlop-Tire of Toronto.
Though only open to adult Canadians, the tire maker said the promo got inquiries from across North America and even from Hungary.
