Nizhnekamskshina buys equipment from Pirelli

MOSCOW (March 4, 2002)–The Russian tire maker Nizhnekamskshina has bought radial car tire building equipment from Pirelli S.p.A. together with a license to build 14- to 17-inch car tires.

The company expects its new production unit to start operations in 2003. Nizhhnekamskshina is considered Russia's largest tire maker, with a daily capacity for more than 34,000 tires a day.
