Ark. dealers plan March convention
HORSESHOE BEND, Ark.-The Arkansas Independent Tire Dealers Association will hold its annual trade show and convention March 15-17 at the Hot Springs Convention Center in Hot Springs, Ark.
The gathering will kick off with a golf tournament at the Glenwood Country Club in Glenwood, Ark., followed by an ATV prize drawing and gala reception. The proceeds from the ATV price drawing will go to the AITDA scholarship fund.

Gamauf to speak at Va. show
MIDLOTHIAN, Va.-John Gamauf, Bridgestone/Firestone vice president of consumer tire sales, will serve as keynote speaker and moderator of a panel discussion for the Virginia Tire and Automotive Service Dealers Association's convention.
VTASDA's gathering, March 15-17 at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville, Va., will feature a golf tournament, a table top trade show and guest speaker Bill Ford, a consultant from SESCO Management, who will discuss employee relations.
Chris Frederick, a consultant from the Automotive Training Institute in Savage, Md., will present a seminar on how to profit from automotive service. Comedian Brett Leake will entertain at an evening reception.

Lampe to speak at N.C. meeting
KURE BEACH, N.C.-Bridgestone/Firestone Chairman John Lampe will keynote the North Carolina Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association's annual convention, April 19-20 at the Crown Reef Hotel in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The NCTDRA meeting will feature three seminars, an awards banquet and a golf tournament. The seminars include ``Who Moved My Cheese?'' by John Knotteck of Michelin North America Inc.-which is based on the best-selling book by the same title-and a workers' compensation insurance seminar given by Terry Peagler of Amerisure.
Also, Greg Ring, manager of sales and marketing training at Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., will hold a seminar on ``Eight Essentials for Retail Success.''
