FINDLAY, Ohio (Dec. 13, 2001)—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has joined the growing list of tire makers planning to raise prices in coming months.
Findlay-based Cooper said it will hike prices up to 4 percent on passenger and light truck tires beginning March 1. The increase will impact all Cooper-made tire brands, a company spokesperson said.
Plans to hike tire prices recently have been disclosed by Goodyear, Bridgestone/Firestone and Michelin Americas Small Tires. Meanwhile, several other tire makers told Tire Business they are studying the possiblity of increasing prices.
