KEENE, N.H. (Dec. 11, 2001)—Tire Warehouse Central Inc. will donate $1,111 a month for 11 months to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help provide support for the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington.
Tire Warehouse President Robert A. Dabrowski presented the first check on Nov. 11, saying, “We are very fortunate to be able to give in this way. All of us just want to help.”
Tire Warehouse Central has distributed navy blue T-shirts with a waving American flag to every employee of the company and its franchisees to wear on the 11th of each month, Mr. Dabrowski said, the day on which the monthly donation will take place.
The first check was presented to Andrea Johnson, executive director of the New Hampshire West Chapter of the American Red Cross, in front of the cameras of CBS News, which was filming a segment on how rural America was affected by the events of Sept. 11. The segment will air on CBS's Sunday Morning news show.
Over the 11 months, the dealership will donate a total of $12,221.
