    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 3, 2001)—Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. has announced a massive reorganization of its corporate structure, headed by a parent holding company—Bridgestone/Firestone Americas Holding Inc.—effective Dec. 1.

    Underneath the holding company are:

    *Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire (BFNT) LLC, successor to Bridgestone/Firestone Inc.

    *BFS Retail & Commercial Operations (BFRC) LLC overseeing company-owned and commercial tire stores and credit card operations;

    *BFS Diversified Products (BFDP) LLC, covering non-tire operations in the Americas; and

    *Bridgestone Metalpha USA Inc. (BFMU), a steel cord manufacturer.

    John T. Lampe is CEO, chairman and president of the holding company and CEO and chairman of BFNT.

    Larry Magee is CEO, chairman and president of BFRC, which has headquarters in Bloomington, Ill.

    Robert McNally was named CEO, chairman and president of BFDP, headquartered in Carmel, Ind.

    Tora Toraiway is president of BMU, headquartered in Clarksville, Tenn.

    The Latin American subsidiaries of the former Bridgestone Firestone will report to the new holding company through a division known as Bridgestone Firestone Latin America, headed by executive vice president Mark Emkes.
