NOKIA, Finland (Nov. 2, 2001)—Nokian Tyres P.L.C. has bought a 13-outlet tire chain in Sweden, expanding its Vianor retail network in Sweden to 50 stores. Nokian paid $3.9 million for Daeckaffaeren 2000 A.B., which operates stores in southern and central Sweden and reports annual sales of about $11 million. With the purchase, Nokian operates 170 retail outlets in five Nordic countries.
