Kumho opens warehouse near Atlanta
FONTANA, Calif. (Oct. 8, 2001)—Kumho Tire USA has opened a 120,000-sq.-ft. tire distribution center in Ellenwood, Ga., an Atlanta suburb, serving the Southeastern U.S.
David Hudrlik, vice president and director of sales for the Fontana-based tire maker, said customers in the Southeast previously were serviced out of Kumho's Memphis, Tenn., warehouse.
“The Atlanta center will enable us to get tires to all of our Southeastern dealers—even those in southern Florida—within 24 hours after they place their orders,” he said.
In addition to the warehouses in Atlanta and Memphis, Kumho also has distribution facilities in Columbus, Ohio; Dallas; and Fontana.
The Ellenwood warehouse is the second U.S. facility Kumho has opened this year. The company opened a 50,000-square-foot technical center in Akron during April.
