SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Sept. 18, 2001) — A man accused of killing Ronald Fish, co-owner of Ben Fish Tire Co., pleaded innocent to charges of first-degree murder Sept. 10.
Adam Moss, 24, also is accused of killing his girlfriend, Leticia Aguilar, and her five children while they slept in their home on Aug. 30. Mr. Moss allegedly used a knife and a hammer to bludgeon all seven victims to death.
He reportedly had, at one time, worked for Mr. Fish, who was found dead in his home at about the same time as the bodies of Ms. Aguilar and her children were discovered.
Mr. Moss was charged with seven counts of first-degree murder and with first-degree theft and is being held on $7 million bail, according to the Woodbury County District Court Clerk. His trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 27. No motive for the crimes has been determined.
