HADERA, Israel (Aug. 31, 2001)—Israel's Alliance Tire Co. has inked an agreement naming Park City, Kans.-based Nebraskaland/Kansasland Tire its Midwest sales agent for radial agricultural tires in the U.S..
General Manager Nick Phillippi said Nebraskaland/Kansasland Tire is enthusiastic about the quality and engineering of Alliance radial ag tires, both in the R-1 tractor and in high flotation designs.
“Alliance has put a tremendous amount of investment, talent and innovation into its radial tires, and has become a world leader in radial ag tire technology over the past several years.” Mr. Phillippi said.
Agricultural radials have caught on among farmers in the Midwest, Mr. Phillippi said. “Farmers here recognize the need for a durable, high-performing radial tire, and they've seen how radials offer added flotation and better translation of equipment power to the drive wheels.
“Just as important,” he said, “I think the appreciation of ag radials will continue to grow as equipment gets heavier, stronger and faster.”
Mr. Pillippi called the Hedera-based tire maker “significantly ahead of the curve” in regard to producing high-speed radials for agricultural use.
“They are a market leader in Europe, where fast tractors and a significant amount of over-the-road travel put tremendous demands on tires.” he said.
“Alliance has designed R-1 and flotation tires to offer performance and ride comfort under those tough conditions, and are leading the industry with farm tires rated for speeds as high as 56 mph.”
Mr. Phillippi said Alliance offers many of its tires in a wide array of sizes, allowing their fitment on a variety of tractors and other equipment.
Many Alliance sizes are of particular interest to collectors of hard-to-fit antique tractors, he added – something of particular interest to Nebraskaland/Kansasland, which is a prominent marketer and retreader of specialty-sized tires.
