ARDMORE, Okla. (Aug. 13, 2001)—Integrated Technology Group Inc. has gained a listing on the Frankfurt, Germany, stock exchange under the trading symbol ITG.
The move is part of the Ardmore-based company's strategy to educate European investors about its technology and raise capital to build a tire recycling plant in Europe.
The plant, which the company hopes to bring on-stream within a year, will shred tires and heat process them into usable products, including a middle-grade oil that can be refined, Integrated Technology said.
In the U.S., the company's Safe Tire Disposal division has collected more than 26.2 million scrap tires and marketed the byproducts from more than 21 million since 1990.
Safe Tire currently is involved in shredding and recycling tires collected through Ford Motor Co.'s recall of Firestone tires. The tire shreds can be used as fuel or as an aggregate substitute in civil engineering projects.
