Mr. Nerad also serves as a co-host of the radio show, ``America On The Road,'' which plans to carry weekly vignettes designed to promote Web use of ``Driving Today.'' The radio program has a weekly audience of three million listeners, Studio One said.
Toyo releases `hot' poster
CYPRESS, Calif.-Toyo Tire (USA) Corp. has released what it's calling its ``hottest poster for 2001.''
``Back by popular demand,'' the Cypress-based tire maker said it has issued a four-color poster blending ``beauty and a little car-detailing fun.'' The 2001 edition of the poster, featuring the company's models-both female and tires-is one of a ``collector'' series.
The poster is part of Toyo's efforts to promote its Proxes performance radial line-up, which includes T1-S and FZ4 models for cars and S/T for light trucks and sport-utility vehicles. The company said its Toyo brand is the official tire of the Speedvision World Challenge series, with the Proxes T1-S shod on every race car in both the Touring Car and GT classes.
Additionally, Toyo and Auto Oz announced that the Proxes S/T has been selected as the exclusive tire for the limited edition Shaq SST Ford Expedition-an ultra-custom SUV co-designed by Ken Grant of Blue Dot Design and NBA basketball star Shaquille O'Neal. Due out in October, it features a proprietary aero package with integrated air extractors in the fenders as well as a custom Italian leather interior and high-end sound and visual entertainment system.
Toyo said the Shaq SST will be delivered with both 22- and 23-inch Giovanna alloy wheels with Proxes S/T high-performance sport truck and SUV radials. Fitments for the vehicle will include 466 trucks with 305/45R22 tires and 34 outfitted with 305/40R23 tires for what the company said is the ``ultimate in big wheel appearance.''
A limited run of only 500 serialized vehicles will be produced to guarantee exclusivity. They will be sold through select Ford dealerships nationwide.
