PACIFIC GROVE, Calif.-The Tire Retread Information Bureau has issued new, colorful bumper stickers promoting its Web site, www.retread.org and www.roadgator.com.
TRIB Managing Director Harvey Brodsky said the group is promoting its Web site, which is ``very unique'' and undoubtedly is the busiest site dedicated to retreading and tire repairing in the world based on number of hits. He said the information on the site helps educate visitors on retreads so that they develop more favorable opinions of them.
``The reason we want to promote it is because retreads are the Rodney Dangerfields of the tire business,'' Mr. Brodsky said. ``People are always putting the slam on retreads undeservedly.''
Mr. Brodsky said the Web site especially presents data on the causes of tire debris, which many people have blamed on retreads.
The bumper stickers are free of charge and available to anyone who wants one, Mr. Brodsky said. There are no limits to the number of stickers a person or company can order. To request stickers, e-mail TRIB at [email protected], or send a fax to (831) 372-9210.
