NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 7, 2001)— Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. has signed an agreement to serve as the exclusive sponsor of "Driving Today," a news and educational program being syndicated to more than 15 automotive-oriented Web sites.
"Driving Today," produced and syndicated by Studio One Networks of New York, will be aimed at automotive enthusiasts and distributed over Web sites reaching 13,823,000 visitors each month.
Studio One said the program´s daily updated content will feature news and information on trends shaping the automotive industry. Host and editor-in-chief of "Driving Today" will be Jack Nerad, a former editor of Motor Trend and Automotive Age magazines.
Mr. Nerad also serves as a co-host of the radio show, "America On The Road," which plans to carry weekly vignettes designed to promote Web use of "Driving Today." The radio program has a weekly audience of three million listeners, Studio One said.
