ALPHARETTA, Ga. (June 12, 2001) — Philip J. Ringo was named president and a board member of RubberNetwork.com, the Internet-based purchasing and procurement Web site operated by nine tire manufacturers.
Mr. Ringo's most recent assignment was as president of ChemConnect, an Internet-based marketplace serving the global chemicals and plastics industries. He holds a master´s
degree from Harvard Business School and has experience in operating small entrepreneurial ventures, the organization said.
Self-described as the first rubber and tire industry buy-side electronic marketplace, RubberNetwork.com was founded to reduce tire makers' material costs and increase their operating efficiencies.
