AKRON (May 9, 2001) – Mark McDonald, a 20-year employee with Goodyear, has been named marketing manager of consumer tires for the company's Kelly Brand, house brands and custom brands.
Mr. McDonald most recently served as account manager of corporate accounts, with primary responsibility for TBC Corp., Goodyear's largest private brand customer. During his career with the Akron-based tire maker, he has held a number of sales and marketing positions, and has also worked in manufacturing, serving as an industrial engineer and business center manager at Goodyear's Kelly-Springfield tire plant in Tyler, Texas.
Jack Winterton, Goodyear's general marketing manager of Kelly-Springfield consumer brand tires, said Mr. McDonald “brings an in-depth knowledge of Kelly customers and products to his new position. He not only understands the marketing and sales side of our business, he also is familiar with the production side, as well.”
A graduate of Miami University with a marketing degree, Mr. McDonald completed studies in marketing management from Columbia University and Goodyear's advanced management skills program.
