AKRON-Goodyear's North American Tire unit has restructured its field sales force to serve its customers better and make it easier for them to do business with Goodyear.
Goodyear dealers now have a single territory sales manager representing the company's entire portfolio of tire brands in every market.
``Our No. 1 priority is to help our customers succeed by making it easier for them to focus on the needs of the consumer,'' said Jim Vogel, vice president of sales and marketing, North American Tire.
``We have successfully launched our G3 concept of marketing the Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly brands. With this announcement, we want to proceed with that goal of providing one face to the customer.''
Goodyear and Kelly business operating systems were combined in late 2000, Goodyear said, allowing customers to begin benefiting from consistent, simplified pricing, billing and inventory management for each of the brands purchased. Full integration of the Dunlop brand into the business operating system is scheduled to occur by year-end.
