GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 19, 2001) – Michelin Americas Small Tires has renewed its long-term partnership with American Car Care Centers Inc., signing a new three-year agreement to supply the independent dealer network with Michelin, BF Goodrich, Uniroyal and private and associate brand tires.
The agreement follows a record-breaking sales year of MAST tires by ACCC, Michelin said.
ACCC — owned and operated by 18 member distributors and comprising nearly 1,000 retail locations — is the nation's largest network of independent tire and automotive service dealers. MAST has supplied ACCC since 1993.
"Finalizing this three-year agreement really shows the commitment that both companies have to growing this relationship," said Jim Borkey, director of sales for MAST, in a prepared statement. "Independent dealers are the backbone of the industry and ACCC is a valued partner for MAST. We look forward to continued growth together."
"Michelin, Uniroyal, BFGoodrich and our own American Brand represent the core of our business," said Len Lewin, president and chief operating officer for ACCC. "This three-year contract insures the continued growth of our partnership with MAST and of the American Car Care Centers business as a whole."
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
