AKRON, Ohio (April 10, 2001) -– Continuing the integration of its multibrand business operations, Goodyear's North American Tire unit has restructured its field sales force, offering customers a single territory sales manager representing the company's entire portfolio of brands.
Jim Vogel, vice president of sales and marketing, North American Tire, said the move is designed to make it easy to do business with Goodyear.
"We have successfully launched our G3 concept of marketing the Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly brands," he said "With this announcement, we want to proceed with that goal of providing one face to the customer."
Goodyear and Kelly business operating systems were combined in late 2000, allowing customers to benefit from consistent, simplified pricing, billing and inventory management for each of the brands purchased. Full integration of the Dunlop brand into the business operating system is scheduled to occur by the end of this year, the company said.
