Air bag simulator
OTC, a division of SPX Corp., has introduced the Universal Air Bag Simulator.
The product replaces the air bag in the system so there is no chance for the air bag to deploy during diagnostics. If a deployment condition is present in the system, the simulator will "blow," rather than an expensive air bag. The unit contains the simulator, leads for domestic and import vehicles, the Tools & Techniques CD-ROM, which offers comprehensive air bag information on 1983-2000 and newer domestic and import vehicles, and a storage case.
The Air Bag Simulator is compatible for use on General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Saturn, Honda and Mitsubishi vehicles. It is also expandable for the addition of future applications.

Precure sealing rings
Wheeler Industries Inc. has introduced a line of precure sealing rings adjustable from 19.5 to 24.5 inches to fit different sized tires.
The Wheeler Seal Ultra line features a two-step installation process: A sprocket-and-chain assembly, driven by a standard 1/2-inch ratchet, expands the ring as needed. The assembly's locking mechanism then is engaged once sufficient bead pressure is achieved and the tire is ready for curing.
