RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (March 5, 2001)—Falken Tire Corp. is voluntarily recalling approximately 5,000 light truck tires, sizes LT235/85R16 and LT245/75R16, for noncompliance with the tire strength requirements of federal truck tire safety standards.
The tires—10-ply-rated Ohtsu High Country A/P and Falken Radial A/P —were manufactured between Aug. 20, 2000 and Jan. 13, 2001. Falken will replace the tires free of charge, either with modified-design tires of the same brands or with another brand.
