Fuel system solution
SPX Corp. has introduced a hand-held solution to clean an entire fuel/emissions system in 20 minutes or less.
Robinair's 81500 Fuel/Emissions Service Solution is a one-step process to clean carbon build-up out of the entire system from the throttle to the catalytic converter. The company said use of the product will increase fuel economy, lower emissions and improve driveability.
The ESS cleaner comes in ready-to-use single application bottles without the mixing of chemicals. A special injector allows the cleaner to be added into the air intake quickly and cleanly, eliminating the need to tie into the fuel rail.
The unit comes ready to use with one bottle of ESS cleaner, an injection adapter, a misting nozzle adapter, a metering valve and a connection hose.

OTC, a division of SPX Corp., has introduced HubTamer to cut wheel bearing replacement time by 50 percent.
The no. 6490 set offers all necessary parts to remove the vehicle's hub and old bearings and to install new ones. The set includes: bearing removal and installation adapters, a bearing race/tie rod remover, and tooling for use on most import and domestic vehicles.
The service job can be done without removing the knuckle assembly from the vehicle, which can elminate unnecessary front-end alignments.
The HubTamer press is designed to use with an impact wrench to speed up the procedure. Its one-piece design elminates sliding, adjustable arms, OTC said, and it fits easily behind the rotor with plenty of room for positioning the tooling.

Zipper rupture test
Vangard Inc. is offering the Futura Zipper Rupture Test System designed for tire dealers, retreaders and tire repair shops.
The unit enables users to perform the RMA Zipper Rupture Test safely and accurately from a remote position using the Vangard Futura Electronic Inflator. The unit is able to perform this test without shop personnel needing to be in close proximity to the tire, the company said.

Accuride Corp. has introduced its Duplex-One Wheel to replace traditional dual-wheel sets with one 22.5x14 wheel on tandem-axle tractors and trailers.
Installation of the product allows drivers increased payload capacity per axle and by approximately 120 pounds, resulting in an overall increase in truck and trailer payload by 990 pounds, the company said. It also improves drive quality, reduces downtime and saves fuel.
The system is available in steel and aluminum, and on new trucks from Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star and through trailer manufacturers.

Sachs North America, a division of Mannesmann Sachs, has introduced a line of Boge shock absorbers and struts in automatic, gas and self-leveling models, meeting specific ride control requirements.
Boge offers a wide variety of shock absorbers according to vehicle type, model and engine capacity.
Boge's three lines are branded Automatic, Turbo and Extreme. The Boge Automatic line includes gas and hydraulic configurations and is designed as a direct OE replacement.
The Turbo line is intended as an upgrade or alternative to the brand's Automatic shocks and struts. It is made for European sports cars, performance coupes and sedans.

Shop-Vac Corporation has introduced two new heavy-duty vacuums specifically designed for cleaning all types of motor vehicles and boats. It features two wet/dry vacuums that are intended for do-it-youselfers and automotive enthusiasts.
Bulldog Model 971-15 is a 1.5 gallon/2.0 hp Wet/Dry Vac with the power of a full-size Shop-Vac. Its rugged plastic tank won't dent or rust, and its extra-long 18-foot cord reduces the need for an extension cord. It weighs nine pounds and uses standard Shop-Vac filters.

Amtech Corp. has introduced Rollgard, a suspension stabilizer for SUVs, light trucks and minivans.
The patented springs design converts the vehicle's existing suspension system into a unique counter-spring technology, the company said. It reduces rollover propensity in the vehicles and provides increased steering control and an overall smoother ride.
The system takes 30 minutes to install with universally designed springs to fit 70 percent of the market's SUVs, light trucks and minivans.

Tuffy Manufacturing has introduced a four-piece color-coded torque wrench set, offering an alternative to torque sticks.
It gives the technician an easy to use tool to assure proper wheel torque.
Each preset torque wrench is uniquely color-coded to match the application chart indicating make and model-year vehicle. It is one way to minimize technician abuse, the company said. The set includes six deep-chrome sockets and an extension and display board.

Mohawk Resources Ltd. has introduced the Mohawks HR-6, a 6000-pound capacity, 48-inch, mid-rise lift.
The lift is equipped with a 110-volt power unit said to raise a 6,000-pound car, SUV or light truck to 48 inches in 60 seconds. The power unit stand acts as a dolly to move the lift around a shop.
The HR-6 is equipped with adjustable height truck adaptors for hard-to-reach vehicle frames in trucks, SUVs and vans.
The swing arms of the HR-6 slide within the lifting frame to accommodate small imports or full-size trucks when used as a pad lift or frame contact lift.

Pro-Cut International, LLC, has introduced the Pro-Cut PFM900 hub-mounted brake lathe, said to quickly mount, adjust and precisely cut a rotor on the car in less than five minutes, resurfacing even the most severely grooved or warped rotors in one pass. A rate sensor measures lateral motion and relays data to the lathe's on-board computer.
PFM900 is the only on-car brake lathe approved by all three major U.S. automakers: Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the company said. The unit also handles trucks to one ton.

Stellar Industries, Inc., has introduced the Model 10620 heavy-duty telescopic crane designed for mechanical service application.
The crane features a 55,000 -foot- pound capacity and can lift a maximum of 10,000 pounds at 5.5 feet. Its standard features includes a proportional radio remote control and 20 feet of hydraulic extension. The 10620 utilizes a planetary winch system that operates at speeds of 60 feet per minute.
The 10690 is available by itself or as part of a turnkey package, which includes a chassis of the buyer's choice, heavy-duty steel body and a variety of air compressor systems.
