CHICAGO (Feb. 16, 2001) — Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. has created a Web site dedicated to national account and potential business-to-business customers.
The new site — www.CompanyCarConnection.com — is designed to make it easier for prospective fleet account customers to sign up with the Bridgestone/Firestone passenger and light truck tire national account sales program, according to W.C. Gates, manager of national account sales. By applying on-line, customers get almost immediate attention by the appropriate BFS account representative.
"The Internet has transformed the way we do business, and the way we interact with our customers," Mr. Gates said in a prepared statement. "In today´s marketplace, we need to provide services that meet our customers´ needs and preferences, and that means information must be available on their time schedule."
Program features on the site include: pricing information for tires and service; centralized billing; store locator service listing nearly 5,000 locations nationwide, including more than 3,000 independent dealer sites; and nationwide warranties.
The site complements existing BFS customer sites — www.FirestoneTire.com and www.MasterCareUSA.com. In addition, BFS will continue its toll-free locator service at (800) 706-TIRE.
