NEW YORK (Feb. 16, 2001) — As part of its efforts to expand its presence in emerging markets, Goodyear has secured an off-take manufacturing source for supplying tires to Russia, and has established new sales companies in eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Additionally, Goodyear said it will be pursuing more business in Europe with car dealershipsÃwhich are expanding their share of the aftermarket, especially in GermanyÃand with large pan-European distributors.
