WASHINGTON (Jan. 18, 2001)—The Rubber Manufacturers Association has released on its website a Spanish-language version of its tire safety brochure, "Be Tire Smart—Play Your PART."
The brochure is the first part of the RMA´s campaign to inform Spanish-speaking audiences of the importance of proper tire care, according to an association press release.
It also will be reprinted in Spanish and made available by the RMA and its member companies. "Be Tire Smart—Play Your PART," a multi-year consumer education campaign, was launched in November in response to the negative publicity the tire industry received in the wake of the recall of 6.5 million Firestone tires.
