VALPARAISO, Ind.—Lynn E. Feller, co-founder and operator of Heinold and Feller Tire Co. in Valparaiso, died Aug. 22 at age 72.
Along with his partner, Ray Heinold, Mr. Feller started the dealership in 1958. Mr. Heinold died in 1990, and Mr. Feller continued to operate Heinold and Feller Tire until poor health forced him to retire about six months before his death.
Mr. Feller served two terms as president of the Indiana Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association and was a member of the Board of Directors for the National Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was active in local charitable activities.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, three sons and two daughters. His son, Joe Feller, is now president of Heinold and Feller Tire and daughter LuAnn also works at the dealership.
