DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2000)—The Specialty Market Equipment Association (SEMA) will present its Chairman´s Service Award this year to Keith Crain, chairman of Crain Communications Inc., which publishes Tire Business.
The award, which recognizes an individual "who has made a significant contribution to the growth of the custom automotive products industry," will be presented at a special award banquet Nov. 2 during the 2000 SEMA Show/International Tire Expo in Las Vegas.
"Keith (Crain) is well deserving of this award, because he continues to promote the specialty equipment industry as well as the annual SEMA Show in a positive fashion," said SEMA Chairman Charlie Van Cleve. "The fact is, when he speaks, the entire automotive press listens. He has been instrumental in the growth of our show as well as SEMA´s numerous products and services."
Mr. Crain was instrumental in the development of the Automotive New World Congress as in international forum for auto industry leaders, and helped develop the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
