FINDLAY, Ohio (June 20, 2000)—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named Cooper Tire President John Fahl executive vice president of the corporation.
The appointment is in addition to Mr. Fahl´s current responsibilities as president of the company´s Cooper Tire unit and head of that unit´s North American tire division. Previously, he also served as a vice president of the parent corporation since 1978.
Since joining the Findlay-based producer of tires and automotive parts in 1955, Mr. Fahl held a variety of management positions in the company´s technical, manufacturing, transportation and purchasing areas. He was elected to the board of directors in 1992 and named president of the Tire Group in 1994.
Separately, the company also appointed Roderick F. Millhof executive vice president of its Cooper-Standard Automotive unit.
In addition to directing the unit´s sales and marketing strategies, Mr. Millhof also will be responsible for its strategic joint ventures with Nishikawa Rubber Co. of Hiroshima, Japan, and Jin Young Standard of Inchon, South Korea.
Previous to his latest appointment, he was president of the unit´s global sealing division in Dearborn, Mich.
