Goodyear G647 RSS: truck, steer-/all-position radial.

Features: designed for pickup-and-delivery applications (RSS=regional service steer); 16.5/32 (33/ 64) inch tread depth; all-steel construction; tread pattern incorporates circumferential grooves and lateral blading to enhance wet traction; scuff rib improves sidewall protection.

Size: 225/70R19.5; others may be added.

Goodyear said it developed the G647 RSS in response to a request from Federal Express to collaborate with its chassis maker and axle supplier to improve the lifespan of its tires.

Wrangler AT/S: light truck, all-terrain radial.

    New size: LT255/70R16.

The new size fits the best-selling Ford F-150 pickup and has a heavier construction, is more durable and more off-road capable than the P-metric tires fitted on these trucks as original equipment, Goodyear said.

    Kumho

ECSTA Supra 712: passenger, high-performance radial.

Features: H, V or Z speed rating, depending on size; UTQG rating—360 AA-A (H-rated), 340 AA-A (V-rated) or 280 AA-A (Z-rated); directional tread pattern with large lateral and center channels for water evacuation; silica tread compound enhanced wet and dry traction and cornering; rim protector helps safeguard alloy wheels; black sidewall styling.

    Sizes: 46 30- to 55-series sizes, including three Z-rated sizes for 19- and 20-inch rims—255/35R20, 255/ 40R19 and 275/30R19.

    Nankang

    NS-1: passenger, H-rated, 40/-45-series high-performance radial for 17-inch rims.

    New size: 225/45R17.

    Teknor Apex

TA-26: truck, precure tread for radial drive axles.

Sizes: 8 and 9, both with 26/32-inch tread depth.

    Uniroyal

Laredo HD/H: commercial light truck, all-season radial.

Features: designed for class 1-3 light trucks and some class 4 and 5 trucks (HD/H=heavy-duty/highway); Q speed rating (up to 99 mph); 50,000-mile limited treadwear warranty; rib-style tread design with water-channeling circumferential grooves and variable-pitch elements for a quieter ride; extra sidewall rubber increases resistance to curbing damage; "DuraShield" undertread compound dissipates heat for longer life.

Sizes: eight 75- and 85-series LT-metric sizes, from LT195/75R14, load range C, to LT235/85R16, load range E, plus 8.75R16.5LT and 9.50R16.5LT, both load range D.

Also available as the Laredo HD/ H with NailGard, incorporating Uniroyal's patented puncture-sealing technology, designed to permanently seal all tread punctures up to 3/16-inch in diameter. Sizes and features are the same as the regular HD/H, except the NailGard version carries a P speed rating (up to 93 mph).
