RESTON, Va. (March 30, 2000)—The Tire Association of North America has launched a new Internet-based newsletter for members called Tire Retailing today E-News.
The new electronic bulletin, delivered weekly to TANA members via electronic mail, went into operation March 28, interim Executive Vice President Ross Kogel said.
TANA President Tom Wright said the new e-mail newsletter will put the association in closer communication with its 4,400 members, many of whom are active users of the Internet.
Mr. Wright, president of Wright Tire Service in Anoka, Minn., called the electronic newsletter the latest product in a longstanding effort to improve TANA´s communication services.
During the last three years, he said, TANA created Tire Retailing today, a bi-monthly magazine focusing on management issues in the tire industry, TANA´s Unifax, a bi-weekly fax report of industry news, and the group´s Web site, www.tana.net. The site also features TANA V-campus, a menu of 77 Internet-based training courses for dealers and employees.
"TANA aims to be a leader in online service for tire dealers," Mr. Wright said. "The electronic newsletter and online training programs will help." ©
