RESTON, Va.—A record 368 attendees were on hand for the Tire Association of North America's annual Off-the-Road Conference, in Tucson, Ariz., Feb. 17-19. Attendance at the OTR conference—the group's 45th such event to date—was 12 percent higher than that of the previous year, said Ross Kogel, interim executive vice president for the Reston-based association.
The event, organized by Conference Chairman Al Chicago of Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. with the help of TANA Vice President of Training John F. Buettner, brought together dealers, tire and equipment manufacturers, retreaders and association officials interested in the sale and servicing of large off-the-road tires.

The 2001 OTR conference is scheduled for Feb. 15-17 at the Amelia Island Plantation, near Jacksonville, Fla.
