LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (March 2, 2000)—The Rubber Manufacturers Association approved the membership application of Falken Tire Corp. and elected several new board members at its annual meeting Feb. 27 in Litchfield Park.
Elected to three-year terms (expiring in 2003) were:
*Bernd Frangenberg, president and CEO of Continental General Tire Inc.;
*Daniel Ogden, president and COO of Yokohama Tire Corp.
*Joe Zekoski, director of tire technology of Goodyear North American Tire;
*Jefferson Kreener Jr., president and CEO of Chardon Rubber Co.; and
*A.L. Stecklein, president of the Americas of Gates, Gates Rubber Co.
Roderick Millof, president of Cooper-Standard Automotive´s Global Sealing Division also was nominated to fill the board post (expiring March 2001) formerly held by Gary Butcher of Chicago Rawhide.
According to RMA by-laws, one-third of the group´s board of directors becomes eligible for re-election each year. Other current tire industry members of the board include William Sharp of Goodyear, Kenji Shibata of Bridgestone/Firestone Inc., Patrick Rooney of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., and James Micali and James Morton of Michelin North America.
