NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Bridge-stone/Firestone Inc. has appointed five veteran staff members to the new position of associate brand sales manager. The five will report to BFS region general managers, dealing primarily with distribution of Dayton, Road King, Gillette, Peerless, Polaris and Seiberling brands. Those appointments include:
Harry Herbst, located in Philadelphia, serving the Northeast region—was new dealer sales manager for the Northeast;
Jon Drake, located in Chicago, serving the Midwest region—was the Midwest new dealer sales manager;
David Palmer, located in Atlanta, serving the Southeast region—was senior area manager, consumer sales for the Southeast;
James McPoland, lo-cated in Los Angeles, serving the West re-gion—formerly served as Tire-Starz regional sales manager for the West; and
Steve Rammer, located in Dallas, serving the South Central region—was marketing manager for the region.
"These associate brand sales managers will provide enhanced support and service to independent dealers, strengthening our efforts to increase sales and market share for all our brands," said John Gamauf, BFS Consumer Products Division vice president.
Mr. Gamauf said the appointments will help make it easier for associate brand dealers to do business with BFS.
John Lampe, president of Bridgestone/ Firestone Tire Sales Co., said other organizational changes have been made affecting all of the company's sales regions. Each region now assumes responsibility for the TireStarz organization and the Affiliated Dealer Sales Group.
