iCARumba Inc. said it has assembled a team deep in auto service experience. Executives include: CEO Kenneth R. Brookings, who has more than 24 years in the field including consulting stints with Firestone, Snap-on Inc., Apple Computer, BP Amoco, General Electric and Texas Instruments. He also founded the Enterprise Alliance, a non-profit industry group facilitating the use of a computing technology standard for auto service providers.
Debra Walker, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, came to iCARumba from Goodyear, where she was responsible for global computer systems and at one time ran Goodyear's chain of retail stores.
Robert Allison, iCARumba's executive vice president, E-Commerce Systems, has done work with major computing companies including Microsoft Corp., Compaq and Digital Equipment.
Jeffery Lagges, vice president, product planning, held a similar position at ALLDATA Corp., where he introduced its Internet version of vehicle diagnostic and repair products. He also has been a shop manager, staff trainer, large fleet manager and an electronic diagnostic and driveability technician.
Mark Heistermann, vice president, sales and shop relations, held senior management posts at Snap-on, CAS and SPX Corp.
Robert Hooper, general manager, automotive engineering, has been a master technician for a Buick dealership, was on the General Motors Corp. National Dealers Council, and has trained auto technicians, done research to develop computerized diagnostic products for service shops, and most recently was with the Society of Automotive Engineers.
