LAS VEGAS—Competition in the climate control industry just got a little hotter. Visteon Automotive Systems, a Ford Motor Co. enterprise, debuted a premier line of aftermarket air conditioning components during the recent Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week shows in Las Vegas. The products will be sold under the "ClimatePro by Visteon" brand.
The company's lineup of new and remanufactured A/C components includes compressors, accumulators, evaporators and hose assemblies, as well as an array of heat transfer products including radiators, condensers and heater cores.
Customers, according to Visteon, have the option of selecting either new or remanufactured parts, which will be available for virtually all domestic and import vehicles beginning Jan. 1, 2000.
Visteon also unveiled a new line of vehicle appearance enhancement packages. Marketed as "RoadFx," the items will include exterior body panel products such as hood scoops, front valence/air dams, rocker claddings and spoilers.
