Heafner - The Goodyear blimp ``Spirit of Akron'' crash landed in a grove of trees near its Suffield, Ohio, hangar, Thursday evening, Oct. 28, capping a week of tough news for Goodyear that included sharply lower third-quarter earnings, the company's removal from the Dow Jones Industrial Average and its withdrawal from Indycar racing. Local reports attributed the crash to onboard computer problems. Only the pilot and a technician were aboard the blimp; neither was seriously injured.
