Heater Solaronics Inc. has introduced the DOORJET heater, which automatically directs a stream of heated air toward an outside bay door when it is opened.
The company said the heated air will temper the effect of cold air rushing inside through an open door and helps lower heating costs.
When a door is opened, a remote switch automatically starts the DOORJET's fan and burner blowing heated air toward the door opening. When the door is closed, the unit automatically shuts off.
Typically, a single unit heats door openings up to 12 feet by 12 feet, the company said.
