ITRA names two board members LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The International Tire and Rubber Association Foundation has appointed two new board members, John Gamble and Joe Scott, to one-year terms.
Mr. Gamble, manager of global sales and technical training with Bandag Inc., leads and manages an integrated sales and technical training curriculum for the company.
Mr. Scott is a safety standards engineer with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and is responsible for the regulations, technical analysis and impact statements for tires, brakes, steering and suspensions for all automobiles, trucks, buses, trailers and motorcycles.
AMI to conduct business seminars
BEDFORD, Texas—The Automotive Management Institute will offer six business management classes for automotive service professionals.
Three AMI faculty members will teach the seminars, Oct. 1-2 at the Holiday Inn Select in Trevose, Pa., near Philadelphia. Students will earn credits toward AMI's Accredited Automotive Manager Designation.
Classes on Friday, Oct. 1, include: ``How to Measure Your Business Skills'' and ``Profitable Listening.''
Saturday's classes include: ``Strategies for Handling Difficult People;'' a two-part ``Dateline 2000 and Beyond,'' and ``How to Measure Your Business Skills.''
Tuition is $60 for Friday seminars, $140 for Saturday's, or $180 for both days.
