TRIB to conduct Fla. tire workshop PACIFIC GROVE, Calif.—The Tire Retread Information Bureau will conduct a tire maintenance workshop July 16 for the Safety Management Council of the Florida Trucking Association.
The workshop will be in the Holiday Inn in Brooksville, Fla., about 40 miles north of Tampa, and will feature information on how to maintain new and retreaded tires.

Md. TDA's show Sept. 30-Oct. 2
SEVERNA PARK, Md.—The 26th annual convention and ``mega show'' of the Maryland Tire Dealers Association (MTDA) will be Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in the Ocean City, Md., convention center.
The event, on the theme ``New century 2000: New beginnings, new horizons,'' kicks off with an industry golf outing Sept. 30, includes several workshops, business and annual meetings, and will close with a traditional Maryland ``crab feast.''
Virginia ``Honey'' Eckardt, MTDA executive director, said the group is anticipating 180 booths for its trade show, which will run Oct. 1-2.
Convention keynote speaker will be Kenneth W. Kruithof, Michelin Americas Small Tires vice president of national dealer sales, who will present an overview of the ``state of the aftermarket'' and Michelin North America's plans.
Besides the MTDA, convention/trade show sponsors include the Service Stations and Automotive Repair Association and the Chesapeake Automotive Wholesalers Association.
