MCMINNVILLE, Ore.—RB Rubber Products Inc. has purchased a tire recovery and processing plant in Portland, Ore., from Dallas-based Waste Recovery Inc. ``This acquisition puts us in greater control of our raw materials supply,'' said Ron Bogh, president and CEO of RB Rubber.
The plant will help increase the firm's ability to manage a flow of low-cost raw materials, according to Mr. Bogh.
"We have been a Waste Recovery customer for many years; recently they have been the primary source of our lowest-cost raw material, tire chips," he said. "By taking over the entire recycling process...we increase our ability to manage a steady flow of low-cost materials."
RB Rubber is a recycler and manufacturer that transforms scrap tires and rubber into rubber mats, protective surfacing and other rubber products.
