MICHELIN NAMES EARTHMOVER MANAGERS

    GREENVILLE, S.C.—Michelin North America's Earthmover Group has named new managers to coordinate earthmover tire sales and help manage the firm's mine-equipment tire business. The firm has named the following as earthmover tire sales managers for the eastern U.S.:

    Jim Hobbs, to earthmover sales manager for Delaware, Maryland, south New Jersey, Philadelphia and Virginia;

    John Lewis to earthmover sales manager for Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee; and

    Erik Tragesser, to earthmover sales manager for Florida.

    In addition, John Wilkes, a 23-year veteran with Michelin, has been named mine tire manager of the Earthmover Group in Charleston, W.Va., and mine tire manager.Les Garner also has been appointed mine tire manager, located in Issequah, Wash. Both Messrs. Wilkes and Garner will work closely with mine customers to determine their tire needs.

    For the western U.S., Michelin has chosen the following earthmover tire sales managers:

    Mike Brown, earthmover sales manager for Idaho and Montana.

    Kaan Demirel, earthmover sales manager for western Canada.

    Michael Ford, earthmover sales manager for Colorado, parts of New Mexico and Texas.

    Brian Frost, to earthmover sales manager for California and Oregon.

    J.G. Hrncir, to earthmover sales manager for Louisiana and Texas.

    Norm Toomey, to earthmover sales manager for Alaska, part of Oregon and Washington.

    Michelin also has named Pat Hicks to the new position of manager of Michelin Earthmover Management System, a tire management system that provides information optimizing tire performance. He is responsible for market development of MEMS in North America's replacement and original equipment markets.
