RESTON, Va.—The Tire Association of North America will focus on the Year 2000 Problem and its potential impact on dealers during regional technology conferences. The conferences will take place May 24 in Washington; June 4-5 in Orlando, Fla.; and Sept. 21 in Phoenix. TANA will bring in technology experts from inside and outside the industry, according to President Jim Shook.
``These conferences represent an organized effort by the tire industry to address the issues created by Y2K, as well as the growing role of technology in today's replacement tire market,'' Mr. Shook said.
