PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.—TBC Corp. has introduced an ``authorized dealer program'' intended to boost consumer awareness of the company's tire brands while strengthening ties between its wholesale distributors and their dealer customers. Unveiled Jan. 13 at TBC's annual marketing meeting , the program features a dealer ``start-up kit'' that includes a selection of merchandising aids, a credit card promising 0.75-percent discounts and 90 days same as cash, plus a soon-to-be-implemented roadside assistance plan.
Half the $250 cost of the start-up kit will be reimbursed by TBC in its first venture into co-op advertising.
