MAYFIELD, Ky.—Workers at Continental General Tire Inc.'s Mayfield plant will vote May 13 on a 40-month tentative labor agreement.
CGT approached union members in September with proposed contract changes it said are needed to keep the Mayfield unit competitive.
This labor pact would make the Kentucky plant competitive both companywide and industrywide, especially in medical care costs and productivity, the union said.
