Comeback solution 'aced' This is in regard to Dan Marinucci's April 28 column ``Do the math: Comebacks cost store twice.'' Dan, what are you thinking about?
Where do you think I could find an ``ace technician'' who would work under those conditions? You want an ``ace'' to be on call, have a binding contract, fix your problems, pick up and deliver the same day and, by the way, work at your labor rate. Are you serious?
Comebacks are a part of this business whether it's a defective part or the technician's fault.
I feel it's important to repair your own problems. It is a good opportunity to learn from a mistake and also build better customer relations. Why would a customer bring his car to me if ``ace'' had to fix it.
Dan, you can ace a ``make good'' tech. I think you ought to ``make good'' on that article and come up with some better ideas to fix comebacks.
