LOUISVILLE, Ky.—American Tire Recyclers Inc. has created a distribution network for its Rebound soil amendment, the Jacksonville, Fla.-based company announced during the recent International Tire and Retreaders conference and trade show. The program sets up three levels of participation:
Dealers, who are producers of rubber, compost or turf or landscapers who want to produce or sell Rebound will receive exclusive territories for a $15,000 fee.
Distributors, who are able to sell Rebound in non-exclusive territories for a $7,500 fee. Although their territories will be non-exclusive, distributors will have a protected channel of distribution (for instance, landscape distributor) by state, region or the entire U.S.
Suppliers: who provide rubber, compost, turf or installation work to the network. For a fee of $3,500, suppliers will receive referrals to the RNO and a listing in the program's directory.
ATR hired Linda Edenfield as its national marketing manager to oversee the network. Rebound is a crumb rubber and compost blend designed to reduce soil compaction and increase drainage in turf subjected to heavy traffic. Typical uses for the product include athletic fields, golf courses and public parks..
