PITTSBURGH-A labor contract set to expire in 2000 and the recall of all laid off and discharged workers are part of the tentative agreement reached between the United Steelworkers of America and Bridgestone/Firestone Inc.
The accord, if approved by union locals, will resolve all pending unfair labor practice charges against the tire maker, according to USWA officials who outlined the deal in a news conference Nov. 6.
Six master contract locals are scheduled to begin voting in late November.
