CHARLESTON, W.Va.-Participation in the West Virginia Tire Dealers Association's six single/multi-piece rim safety seminars this fall has exceeded expectations and may prompt the group to host more next spring to accommodate other dealerships, according to Executive Director Floyd Sayre. The WVTDA hosted the 3 1/2-hour seminars in six cities in September and October using educational materials from the National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association. Mr. Sayre said about 140 people representing 40 companies attended. Parti-cipants received certificates acknowledging their training.
``We became aware that a number of our tire dealers and trucking firms did not have adequately trained individuals,'' said Mr. Sayre. ``So we decided to become more involved to certify the training was done.''
