NASHVILLE, Tenn.-A promotional display featuring sportscars and Bridgestone and Firestone tires is touring the country with numerous stops at tire dealerships and sporting events. Bridgestone/Firestone Inc.'s Brand Enhancement Show Trailer (B.E.S.T.) expands to a full display measuring 80 feet long and 60 feet wide.
One side of the trailer displays Bridgestone's high-tech image, according to the company, featuring the only 1995 Porsche Cup Car in the U.S., used to promote Bridgestone's Potenza S-02 tires, and a 1996 BMW 740i with Bridgestone Turanza tires.
The other side of the trailer promotes Firestone's racing image with a 1993 Indy test car, used by Patrick Racing to prepare for Firestone's return to Indycar racing, and a customized 1996 Corvette Lt4.
The company's ``showcase on wheels'' made its debut at the True Value 200 in Loudon, N.H., and will visit Indy racing venues, motorsports sites, company events and dealer locations throughout the country.
``B.E.S.T. is one of many programs that we are implementing to strengthen our support of our dealers at the retail level,'' said Shu Ishibashi, executive director of consumer products marketing for Bridgestone/Firestone Tire Sales Co.
``It provides them an exciting display for consumer promotions and helps establish the distinct images of the Bridgestone and Firestone brands,'' he said.
