HANNOVER, Germany- Continental AG reported consolidated pre-tax earnings for the first half of 1996 jumped 107 percent from 1995 levels to $80.3 million, as sales rose 1.3 percent to $3.4 billion.
Earnings at all its groups ``developed positively,'' Conti said, with the ``gratifying'' earnings performance of U.S.-based Continental General Tire expected to persist for the whole year.
